Public Relations Unit
The Public Relations Unit is responsible for building and promoting a clear institutional image of the Department of Antiquities as the primary authority entrusted with the protection and preservation of Jordan’s cultural heritage. It also works to strengthen cooperation between all directorates of the Department of Antiquities and Jordanian public and private institutions, while promoting the national heritage. The Unit facilitates communication, creates opportunities, and provides an appropriate framework for fostering mutual understanding between the Department and various sectors, authorities, and institutions within Jordanian society and beyond. In addition, it is responsible for organizing archaeological awareness programs and collaborating with civil society organizations to raise awareness of the value and significance of Jordan’s cultural heritage.
