It was opened under the patronage of Her Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah in Berlin on 8/1/2004 and continued until 9/1/2005. It included a collection of artifacts dating back to the Neolithic period represented by the site of Ain Ghazal, and until the Umayyad period represented by the Umayyad palaces in the Jordanian desert.

The exhibition opened on 7/1/2004 at the Senagaya Museum of Art in Tokyo / Japan. The exhibition included 117 archaeological and heritage pieces covering all historical periods in Jordan from stone to Islamic times. This came on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Jordan and Japan.
